Sunwapta Pass divides Jasper and Banff National Parks and I was now on the Banff side. Banff has alot more people then Jasper and seems to have a busier, faster paced feel. In Banff townsite, there was actually traffic and parking was an issue at times. Banff also marked the start of what ended up being a bad 2 weeks of haze caused from the large forest fires to the southeast in Montana. Banff National Park also has the lakes with the amazing electric blue colors.
While in Banff National Park I visited Lake Louise, Morraine Lake, Peyto Lake, Johnston Canyon, Banff townsite, Banff Hot Springs and a few other locations. I camped near the Castle Junction which was a bit of a viewless forest. I was lucky enough to see a Grizly while driving between camp and Banff townsite. Wow! the park service sure freaks out when there's a bear in the area.
